This website has been designed to complement my book, Easy Wedding Planner, which is published by the Guild of Master Craftsmen. I wrote Easy Wedding Planner because I couldn't find anything like it when I got married. I ended up buying books on cake decoration, floristry, card-making, jewellery making and so on. And if you're wanting to save money on your wedding, buying lots of expensive specialist books isn't really the way to go.

Easy Wedding Planner will show you how to be a DIY bride even if you've never arranged flowers or baked a cake in your life. There are chapters on arranging wedding flowers, hand-crafting your own wedding stationery, baking and decorating your own wedding cake and even making your own wedding jewellery. Before getting married, I'd baked the occasional cake (but never iced one!) and I'd made the occasional card but never sold one. The book is really intended for people like me: people who'd like to have a go but don't have any specialist skills. Yet.

The step-by-step instructions are illustrated by full colour photos so it's easy to follow. Each project is designed to be achievable by anyone, using materials that are readily available (there's a list of suppliers at the back of the book and one will be coming soon to this website!) and mostly using tools that you'd have around the house anyway, like a stanley knife or a ruler!

There are chapters on budgeting and planning your schedule plus lots of money-saving ideas, for example, how to make that supermarket cake look like it's been designed especially for you! And even if you aren't arty-crafy, there are plenty of cost-cutting, time-saving ideas to help you plan the wedding day of your dreams.
